🌸 Spring: Rest and Receive Retreat @ The Cicada Institute

Overview :
Nestled on 40-peaceful acres in the Appalachian Mountains, this immersive retreat centers on the art of slowing down. Intentionally tech-free, primitive and reverent of natural rhythms- this retreat focusing on the art of rest and the wellspring of rejuvenation and refreshment that comes from truly slowing down and reconnecting with yourself, your community and your natural surroundings.
Through eco-therapy, ancestral remembrance, organic meals, somatic release, and community building, participants are deeply nourished and cared for. This 3-day, 2-night retreat offers space to think, feel, breathe, and dream—a place to simply be, not do.
🌿 Retreat Itinerary
(All activities are optional. Rest is always welcome.)
Day 1 — Arrival, Grounding & Belonging
Theme: Landing in the Body & the Land
Afternoon arrivals, camp settling, and gentle land orientation
Opening circle: arriving together, naming intentions, and grounding into the present moment
Guided somatic movement to release travel tension and support nervous-system settling
Shared farm-to-table dinner
Evening bonfire: storytelling, reflection, and quiet listening under the stars
Optional journaling prompt focused on arrival, transition, and rest
Day 2 — Deep Rest, Remembrance & Renewal
Theme: Remembering Through the Body & the Earth
Slow morning with tea, silence, and solo journaling
Guided somatic movement and embodied awareness practice
Wilderness therapy hike: attuned walking, sensory awareness, and relational presence with the land
Wildflower and plant identification walk, focusing on native species, seasonal cycles, and traditional uses
Nourishing communal lunch and extended rest time (napping, creek sitting, or solitude)
Ancestral remembering ritual: honoring lineage, land, and those who came before us
Evening bonfire and community sharing
Optional reflective journaling on memory, belonging, and inner wisdom
Day 3 — Integration, Gratitude & Return
Theme: Carrying Rest Home
Gentle morning movement and breathwork
Wilderness therapy reflection walk: integration, meaning-making, and intention setting
Closing circle: gratitude, shared insights, and naming what we are taking forward
Farewell brunch and unhurried departures

Pricing :
Tier 1 $333 - Helping Hands Ticket: Includes drinks, meals, programming and camping spots as well as airport pick up and drop off if necessary. Must bring your own camping equipment and it is requested that you “lend a helping hand” approximately 3 hours a day. Parking pass sold separately.
Tier 2 $555- R&R Ticket- Includes drinks, meals, creekside camping spot with tent, cot, lantern, table, camp chair and sleeping pad provided, programming and airport shuttle included. Parking for 1 car.
Tier 3 $777- VIP Ticket :Includes all of the above as well as VIP Swag Bag of local mountain goodies, a bodywork session and premium parking/camping sites as well as a follow-up integration session. Additionally, funds from this ticket will help support our scholarship fund to allow other participants accessibility to attend.

Join us for a 10-day journey through Egypt’s sacred landscapes—from the Great Pyramids to the Nile River and Luxor’s ancient temples.
This immersive retreat blends cultural exploration, ancestral remembrance, and deep rest. Participants will experience Egypt through guided private tours, river cruises, and mindful travel designed for rejuvenation and reconnection.

Day 1 – Travel / Arrival in Cairo → Transfer to accommodations
Day 2 – Old Cairo: Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum
Day 3 – Optional: Alexandria day trip → Evening flight to Luxor
Day 4 – Luxor: Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Nile Cruise boarding
Day 5–7 – Sail the Nile: Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan, Philae, Nubian Village
Day 8 – Return to Luxor: Dendara Temple visit
Day 9 – Cairo: Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, cultural shopping
Day 10 – Return flights to New York
